We have a brilliant group of more than 200 dedicated volunteers who each play an important role in the running of The Donna Louise.

We’re always looking for new people to join our team, so whether you can spare a few hours each week, or just the odd day here and there, you can make a huge difference.

In Our Shops

We are currently undergoing a huge retail expansion programme, and have recently opened a brand new shop in Newcastle-under-Lyme,  as well as shops in Crewe and Longton opening very soon. It really couldn't be a more exciting time to join our retail team!

If you're 16 years old or over and enjoy being part of a team and you’re passionate about customer service, then a volunteer role could be for you! Opportunities include working on the shop floor, making customers feel welcome, creating window displays and operating the till, or behind the scenes processing and pricing donations, sorting stock and preparing items for sale.

You’ll be the face of The Donna Louise as you’ll be in contact with many of the supporters who visit our shops. As a shop volunteer you’ll help make our shops a success, meet new people and get retail experience.

Click here to complete an application now and the relevant shop manager will get back to you.

Alternatively you can call the shop managers directly to discuss opportunities.

In the Hospice

We like to think of our hospice as a home-from-home for the children, young adults and their families and it’s essential that it’s always looking its best and everything runs smoothly for them.

Our army of volunteers work across the hospice from helping with the laundry and ironing to provide lovely fresh bedding, to cooking up a treat in our kitchen and keeping the place clean and tidy. We also have volunteers who work in the grounds and gardens, helping with general maintenance and DIY.

In the office

Why not develop the skills you’ve learnt during your career and bring them to the hospice. All of our main business functions operate from here, including Finance, HR and payroll, Fundraising and Marketing and Communications.

At Events with DLT

We know that it is not always possible to commit to volunteering on a regular basis, so volunteering at events is a great way to be able to help at a time that suits you. We have lots of events throughout the year that, without our volunteers, would not be possible.
