Drivers in Crewe are supporting local children and young people with life-limiting conditions, simply by parking their cars.

Bank Park, the company which manages the Market Shopping Centre Car Park in Crewe, is generously donating a percentage of all parking fees to The Donna Louise Hospice, which supports more than 260 families in Staffordshire and Cheshire.

This means that every driver who parks on Victoria Street car park is making a real difference to local families, simply by buying a parking ticket.

And, since the initiative began in the summer, Bank Park has generously donated more than £2,374 to the Hospice - enough to fund 79 art therapy sessions, giving families the opportunity to express their feelings in a creative way.

Katie Tams, Regional Fundraiser at The Donna Louise, said, “This is a brilliant scheme, which means that we’re receiving a fantastic monthly donation just from people using the car park. We’re so grateful to Bank Park for their support. Shoppers visiting Crewe this Christmas can know that they’re making a huge difference to the lives of local families who rely on The Donna Louise, every time they park up.”
