TV presenter Becky Wood, who is well known for presenting the weather on BBC Midlands Today, is hosting an exclusive lunch in aid of The Donna Louise at The Pavilion at Branston Golf Club on Tuesday 23rd October.

Becky, who is originally from Stoke and attended Staffordshire University, joined the BBC Midlands Today team in 2012 as a weather girl – her dream job. Guests at the lunch will enjoy a delicious two-course lunch, followed by a talk from Becky, who will share some of her best anecdotes about the tv industry, including a few behind-the-scenes secrets.

Becky said, “I’m delighted to be hosting this lunch to raise money for The Donna Louise. I’m from Stoke and know just what a vital role the hospice plays in the local community, supporting families of children with life-limiting conditions. They really do make a big difference and by hosting this lunch I’m hoping I can help in just a small way.”

All money raised from the exclusive lunch will help hundreds of children and young adults with life-limiting conditions, and their families who use the services of The Donna Louise.

Chris Belyavin, Regional Fundraiser at The Donna Louise, said, “We’re really grateful to Becky for supporting us in this way. The lunch at The Pavilion promises to be a great chance to get a real insight in to the world of tv from a local presenter.

Tickets for the lunch, at 12.30pm on 23rd October, are priced at just £25 and are now on sale from The Pavilion, Branston Golf & Country Club, DE14 3DP or by calling 01283 528336.
