It’s less than six weeks until The Donna Louise 10k race & 5k Family Fun Run at Trentham Gardens and already hundreds of runners have signed up for the challenge.

This year’s race will be back inside Trentham Gardens, which means that runners and spectators will be able to enjoy the beautiful location as participants take on the 5k and 10k races. And, for the first time, The Donna Louise is offering a free park & ride service between the bet365 stadium and Trentham Gardens, thanks to First Buses.

Zoë Gregory, Events Manager at The Donna Louise, said “This is our 14th annual Family Fun Run and we’re delighted to be back in the main gardens at Trentham. It promises to be a great day out for all the family and with the 5k and 10k races there’s something for all ages and abilities.

“We’re delighted that First Buses are operating a free park & ride for us this year. All runners and spectators will park at the bet365 stadium where they’ll receive their wristband to get into Trentham Gardens. They’ll be transported to Trentham in plenty of time for the races and back to the bet365 stadium afterwards. This will ease traffic congestion and ensure that everyone gets to and from Trentham Gardens safely.”
Both races will start at 10.30am and there will be a warm up on stage from 10am. The first buses will leave the bet365 at 7.30am and will transfer people to Trentham throughout the morning, and then return everyone to the stadium after the races.

In addition to the races themselves, there will be a whole host of entertainment for all the family including face painting, craft areas and food stalls. Everyone is welcome to come along, show their support and join in the fun.

There’s still plenty of time to register for the 5k and 10k races and it only takes five minutes to register online. Online registrations will close on Friday 11 May. On the day registration will be available but places will be limited.
