The Donna Louise 9th Annual Ball raises thousands for children and young adults

This year’s Annual Ball, held on Friday 9 June at The Moat House Hotel, Hanley, has raised a whopping £47,000 for the children and young adults who use The Donna Louise.

The night was a huge success and full of fun and laughter, hosted by Jonathan Wilkes. There was plenty of singing and dancing, thanks to Jonny and his band, as well as acrobats, a tombola, auctions and a good old-fashioned game of heads and tails.

The overall theme for the evening was “Enchanted Forest” and there were even a few woodland nymphs and fairies to welcome guests as they arrived.

Event Manager, Zoë Gregory, said, “The Ball was a great success and I hope that everyone who came had a great time. Each year we need to raise more than £3.5million to continue to offer vital care to children and young adults. The Ball is one of our headline events and a night which many of our supporters look forward to, so it was great to see them having a great time and I’d like to thank them for their support.”

Plans for next year’s Ball are already underway. The 2018 Ball will be held on Friday 8th June at a “secret location.”

Zoe added, “Next year’s event will be bigger and better than ever as it will be our 10th annual Ball. We’re keeping the venue a secret for now, but I can guarantee it will be a night not to be missed.”
