Organiser and founder of the Weston Christmas Light Display, Graham Witter BEM, has announced that his Starlit Garden drive-thru event has raised a whopping total of £25,450 for The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.
As with many mass events this year, we’ve had to take the difficult decision to cancel The Donna Louise Annual Ball which was due to take place on Friday 4th December at Spode China Halls.
With social distancing measures currently in place, sadly the annual Weston Christmas Light Display, which has become a festive highlight for families across the local community, will not be able to go ahead in its usual format this December.
Like many mass events this year, we’ve had to take the difficult decision to once again postpone the 10k & 5k Family Fun Run which was due to take place at Trentham Gardens on Sunday 18th October.
A note from Director of Care, Dot Gillespie...
The team at the Donna Louise understand how challenging the past few months have been for all the children and families that we care for and support. As we slowly return to some normality we need to understand how we can best care for you and your family in the next 6 -12 months. Please help us to help you by telling us how your care and support needs may have changed and how the team at the Donna Louise could help. Thank you!
As we all continue to adjust to the current situation I would like to take this opportunity to give you an update on what we are doing at the Donna Louise over the next few weeks in order to try to support you and your families in the best way we can.
