Kevin McCafferty is a Donna Louise fundraising hero! Since 2010 he has trekked and cycled his way round the UK, Europe and conquered the highest mountain in Africa.
He started his fundraising journey in 2010 with the 3 peaks challenge and in the next 2 years did the Yorkshire 3 peaks and then scaled the dizzying heights of Kilimanjaro. It was in his words, “An incredible experience.”
More than 20 members of The Penkridge Running Club signed up to the Donna Louise’s 5k and 10k fun run to raise money for the local Hospice.
The members ran in memory of 10 year old Jade Hayward who sadly died from an aggressive form of cancer in 2005. Three members of the running club chose to support The Donna Louise as they are close friends of Jade’s family, who were supported by the hospice during her illness and following her death.

Caroline Meakin celebrates a special birthday in 2017, and to mark the occasion she wanted to do something different, something daring and something a little bit scary!!
She says, “I really wanted to do a bucket-list challenge. I wanted the experience and the thrill of doing something to push myself’ a skydive was perfect. I definitely wanted to do it for charity, and I definitely wanted to do it for The Donna Louise.”
